Online Sections Filling Fast!!
Winter Quarter 2006 Distance Learning sections are among the first to fill and close. Here are a couple tips that might help you get registered for the courses you need:
1. Students often change plans and decide to withdraw. Try registering again for your desired course(s) frequently during the new student/open enrollment period. You may hit the jackpot and find an opening!!
2. Continuing students get registration PINs for online registration! Start early next term and get your advisor's signature. They will then give you the PIN then. Go directly to register online using the Student Online Services Web page link once you have the special PIN: http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/SOS/.
3. The DL Class Schedule Web page (http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/schedule/0506/winter/?dl) now has direct access to the "Check Class Availability" tool! Get the item number from the list and see if there are any seats available by viewing the report. Standard class capacities for PCOL sections is 25 and for Continuous Entry sections is 35. (WAOL sections are restricted differently because they are shared across the State.) Check with the Distance Learning office to explore the willingness of instructors to "over enroll" beyond the "caps"!
