Purchasing textbooks
For PCOL & WAOL Courses
Be sure to check the “Special notices” section in your welcome letter. Some courses require you to purchase books through WashingtonOnline, while others can only be purchased through the Pierce College bookstore. Read the letter carefully so you don't end up with the wrong books!
Pierce College Bookstore will be the primary source for your textbooks. Do not attempt to order books through WAOL. Books are provided through the Pierce College Bookstore.
For Continuous Entry & Self-Support courses

Purchase your books and materials at the bookstore. If your course has video tapes, determine how you plan to view them. Sets are available in both the Fort Steilacoom and Puyallup college libraries, some air on CollegeVision, and sets are available for three month rental from the Distance Learning office for an additional $30 fee.
Purchasing books online
You can visit the Distance Learning section of either Puyallup's or Fort Steilacoom's Bookstores, or shop online at http://piercebookstore.collegestoreonline.com/.
When ordering online, be sure to select textbooks from the the correct campus by referring to the first letter on the course section listing. The designating letters for Distance Learning are: DL
