Foster Parent Education: Registration for Online Workshops

Today isAugust 20, 2008

Enrollment procedures for foster parents and caregivers:

Step 1: Select workshop(s) from list below

  1. Identify workshops of interest to you. Enrollment is limited.
  2. Students new to online learning must enroll in Foster Parent Skills Series-Online Learning before other workshops.
  3. Select the workshop and then "click" the corresponding number below the month you have chosen; this will prompt the registration page.
  4. For workshop descriptions, place your mouse over the title or go to Workshop Descriptions

Please Note: Unless you are a very experienced online student, do not enroll for more that one (1) online workshop during a given timeframe!

Step 2: Complete and Submit registration form

All fields are required in order to be registered for your classes. If there is no space in your desired course, try registering for another course.

Step 4: Notification of Successful Enrollment

You will receive confirmation of your registration via email. When you receive notification, be sure to mark the workshop begin and end dates so that you can participate on time. You will NOT pass the course(s) or receive your certificate of completion until you have successfully completed the exam and workshop evaluation. I

The expectation is that by submitting a form you are committing to login regularly, engage in activities, observe “netiquette”, study and learn the content.

Step 5: After enrollment: starting workshops

All students successfully enrolled in workshops MUST follow–up by reviewing the Welcome Letter that describes in detail how to login to the Virtual Classroom and what to do in the case of problems.

If you find that the login procedure doesn't work after the classrooms open and you've verified enrollment, there may be a problem with your account. Please check the FAQ's for more information or contact the Distance Learning office @ 1–877–DLforME or 253–964–6458.
