Purchasing textbooks for WAOL & PCOL courses

WashingtonOnline (WAOL)

Do not attempt to order books through Pierce College's Bookstore.

Directions on buying textbooks are described at the WAOL website.

Books are available through an online vendor. Start the process early because delivery can take up to a week. Follow the directions at the WAOL web site carefully.

Be sure to note the appropriate “WAOL ID #” for your course from the left column in the list above. Don't be alarmed if the WAOL course title is different than the Pierce College title. That is why the WAOL ID# is used to refer to the course!

Pierce College Online (PCOL)

Pierce College Bookstore will be the primary source for your textbooks. Do not attempt to order books through WAOL.

You can visit the Distance Learning section of either Puyallup's or Fort Steilacoom's Bookstores, or shop online through the Pierce College Bookstore.

When ordering online, be sure to select textbooks from the the correct campus by referring to the first letter on the course section listing. The designating letters for Distance Learning are: DL

If the Puyallup Bookstore is within your area and you would like to do a pick–up, follow the instructions listed below.

Go through the normal selection procedure.
Once you have made the text selection, go to “CART”
You will make your payment selection/shipping type, then click “CONTINUE” ( button to the right)
In the next page, “ORDER OPTIONS” column you will find a “CUSTOMER NOTES” field. It is this field that you can add notes regarding your desire to pick up books on a “will call” basis, for example “Will pick up at Puyallup store.”
Continue process until you are done with ordering your text(s).

Books are also available online at the Pierce College Student Book Exchange. Just follow the link below and search for the ISBN, Title or Author of the book you are looking for. Go to: Student Book Exchange at http://www.pierce.ctc.edu/book-exchange/
