Thinking "Green" in Public Safety

What does thinking about and being “green” really mean to those of us in the police, fire and emergency management fields? We all have become more aware of our human impact upon the environment. The activities that we pursue every day, from the food we eat to the vehicles we drive, has an affect on where we live and work; some good, some bad. The National Association of Counties (NaCo) has taken on a leadership role on how government can react to the economic, environmental and the social aspects of thinking green. Information Assurance and Computer Forensics degree.

Lake Washington Technical College, in collaboration with Washington State law enforcement personnel and private sector security professionals received funds to create and provide mobile computer forensic training for 250 Washington State law enforcement employees in 2005-06. Law enforcement high tech training requires customization that meets the demands of multiple learning environments as well as accommodating nontraditional schedules. Agricultural Threats

Walla Walla Community College, Walla Walla Emergency Management and Walla Walla County EMS and Trauma Care Council have identified the rural Southeastern region of the State of Washington as an area vulnerable to the threats of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). The proposed project focuses on the protection of the agricultural and related natural resources (i.e. water, energy) in the region. This includes the design and delivery of a comprehensive training system that enhances prevention, deterrence, response, and recovery from potential WMD incidents and their related effects.
