Admission Requirements

International students must be at least 16 years of age by the first day of instruction for admission to Pierce College. TOEFL scores are not required.

Intensive English Program (IEP)

For admission to our college-preparation IEP program, students must be high school graduates or admitted to the Pierce College High School Completion Program.

For Summer Quarter (June to August) only, students who have not yet graduated from high school may attend the IEP.

For students who want to continue in the Pierce College University Transfer, Professional/Technical or High School Completion Programs, admission is guaranteed upon successful completion of the IEP.

University Transfer and Professional/Technical Programs

To enroll in classes in our University Transfer and Professional/Technical Programs, students must demonstrate proof of English proficiency. Students whose English is not yet at college level can begin in our Intensive English Program.

High School Completion - International Fast Track

Students are not eligible for admission if they have already received a high school diploma in their home country or the U.S.A. To enroll in classes in our International Fast Track Program, students must demonstrate proof of English proficiency. Students whose English is not yet at college level can begin in our Intensive English Program.
