Tutorials - PowerPoint Presentations: Getting Fancy
Convert Into a PDF Document
You can easily convert your presentation into a PDF document that can be put onto the World Wide Web or emailed to other people.

Convert to PDF

Under the menubar on the top left of the screen, click on the Convert to Adobe PDF Icon.

It will prompt you to Save, and then will convert it into an Acrobat PDF document.

In order to read the document you will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer or browser. Most current browsers already have this built in. If not, when you try to open it, it will take you to the Adobe website and allow you to download the Reader for free.

Upload to the Internet

  1. To upload your pdf to the Internet, it needs to be inserted into your HTML document.

  2. You need to have an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software that allows you to upload to the Web.

  • If you do not have an FTP program or know how to use one, contact the Pierce College Web Manager through College Relations. She may be able to upload it for you.

You can attach the PDF version of your PowerPoint presentation just as you would attach any file through your email software program.

For example, if you are using Outlook, to attach a document, click the Insert File icon , then click find the file and click Insert.
