Tutorials - PowerPoint Presentations: Getting Fancy
Convert to a Website
You can easily convert your presentation into a Web document that can be put onto the World Wide Web or emailed to other people.

Convert to HTML
At the menubar click on File > Save as Web Page

Name the file, choose where you would like to save it and click Save.

This converts your presentation to an HTML file which can then be uploaded onto a Web server.

*note- You need to set up an account with the Pierce College Web Manager through College Relations to get access to the Web Server.

Upload to the Internet

  1. To upload your Powerpoint presentation to the Internet, it first needs to be converted to HTML (see Step 1).

  2. You need to have an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software that allows you to upload to the Web.

  • If you do not have an FTP program or know how to use one, contact the Pierce College Web Manager through College Relations. She may be able to upload it for you.

You can attach the HTML version of your PowerPoint presentation just as you would attach any file through your email software program.

For example, if you are using Outlook, to attach a document, click the Insert File icon , then click find the file and click Insert.

*note- make sure you selected the HTML version of your presentation.
