Capture Profiles

There are (6) Basic Capture Profiles which perform the most commonly used captures and automatically set your capture settings.

1. A Region to File – Captures a rectangular selected region of the screen and saves the image as a BMP file.

2. A Region to Clipboard – Captures a selected region of the screen and saves the image to the clipboard to be pasted into another program.

3. A Window to File – Captures a window on the desktop and saves the image as a BMP file.

4. A Scrolling Window – Captures the contents of a window on the desktop including the part of the screen not seen.

5. An Object on the Screen – Captures an object such as an icon, logo, etc. and saves as a BMP file.

6. The Entire Screen – Captures the entire desktop and everything seen on it and saves as a BMP File.

 

There are (6) Other Capture Profiles which perform other commonly used captures that also have automatic capture settings.

1. A Freehand Region – Captures a freehand region of the screen

2. A Menu with Time Delay – Captures drop-down and cascading menus by allowing you time to pull down menus before capturing the screen and saves to the clipboard to be pasted into another program.

3. Text from a Window – Captures text from a window and saves a TXT file allowing you to edit in Snagit or in another text based program.

4. Record a Video of the Screen – Makes a recording of a rectangular region of the screen and saves as an AVI file.

5. All images from a Web Site – Captures all images from a website and outputs to the Catalog Browser for easy viewing.

6. A DirectX Application – Captures a DirectX portion of the desktop and outputs to the Catalog Browser for easy viewing.
