Record the screen. Click here to open the screen capture behaviors. When you are ready to record the screen hit the F9 key and when you are done hit the F10 key. save your file the you can import it into the clip bin.
Import video. Import previous screen captures or other video clips you want to put in you presentation.
Import audio. Import previous audio you want to put in you presentation. As with any files on your computer hopefully you can remember where you saved them.
Import images. Import pictures into your presentation as titles or transitions or just put them in because they look cool.
Voice Narration. Create a voice over to explain your video as it progresses. remember to begin your play head at the beginning of your timeline.
Adjust audio. Adjust the audio volume for fading sound in and out.
Transitions. Transitions are entered between clips in a story board view this can make smoother changes between the clips than straight cuts.
Callouts. Callouts will add highlights to areas of your screen to allow viewers to follow along better.
Hot spot. A hot spot is basically a button. this will allow interactive projects. Remember if you ever do use the flash hot spots in your project the you have to export it as a flash swf file or they your buttons will not work.
Zoom n Pan. Control zooms to focus on certain areas of the screen. Also add pans for more dynamic projects.
Produce as. This is a export function. Export it as an avi or for the web export it as a flash swf.
CD menu. Create an interactive CD with your projects on it.
Web menu. Create an interactive web page to allow users to view your projects.
Batch production. The batch production can produce multiple projects in a row. This is helpful if you have many projects you want to render over night to save on time through the day.
You will need to set up profiles in the wizard to set what you want the produced file to be exported as (avi, swf, etc.)
Clip bin. The clip bin is where your imported files are brought. This is a constant among most video editing programs.
Icons. These icons simply show what file type they are, also video and pictures will show a thumbnail of the larger version for better recognition.
Timeline. The timeline is exactly what will be produced. To bring in your video and audio click on their icon in the clip bin hold and drag them into your time line. you can move clips around in the order you want. However be careful when moving your audio so it still fits what is being shown.
That is why voice over's should be done after the all your video is where you want.
Timeline tools. Zoom in or out to show more or less of you timeline. click and drag your play head to select an area and use the scissors to cut out sections of a video clip. or place you play head at a point and split the video with the spit tool.
Timeline view. Toggle between the timeline view and a story board view.
View tracks. Show or hide the different tracks to see more clearly what you are working with. If you don't add callouts why show it.
The default is only audio and video and as you add zooms or hotspots the tracks will automatically be made visible. however they will stay there even if you delete everything in them.
