When you are in your Blackboard website, as an instructor you will see a Control Panel button on the lower left of the screen.

*Note - Only you as the instructor will have this button. Students do not have access to it.

Click on the "Quiz Generator" button

In Section 1 the Type of Assessment should be "Quiz/Test".

• Then click "Submit"

Fill in the title and description of your quiz

• Then click "Submit"

If you click the little arrow next to "Multiple Choice" it will give you options.

• For this exercise, choose "Multiple Choice"
• Then click "Add Question"

In the "#1 Multiple Choice Question" section, type in your question at the Question Text box.

In the "#2 Answers" section, fill in answers for each multiple choice.

*note- make sure one of them is the correct answer

• Click the radio button next to the correct answer

  

Repeat Step #6 (above) to continue adding questions.

When you have finished adding questions, fill in the "Assessment Instructions" box.

Scroll down to the "Select Options" box

• Choose if you want "Show Detailed Result", "Reveal Correct Answer", and/or "Show Feedback".
• Then select if you want "Allow Anonyomous" or "Allow Multiple Times" to take the test.
• Click "Save Assessment"

To Make the Quiz available to Students:

• At the Control Panel, click "Assessment", then "Assessment Tools"
• Click the "Update" button next to your quiz
• Where it says "Would you like to make this available to your students?", click the "Yes" radio button.
• Then click "Go"

Availability Options

• If you click "Yes" next to "Generate an announcement?", it will create an announcement on the first page of the website telling students that they can take the quiz.
• Choose where you would like to place the link to your test. ie: Assignments.
  • If you put it in the Assignments section, students can find it by clicking the Assignments button on their first page.
• Click "Make Available"
