You can create and print color transparencies from digital images. These can be used on overhead projectors when you might not have access to or need a video/computer projection system.

   
Create or open a digital image into Adobe Photoshop.
 
 

You can do this by:

  1. Copying a picture off the web. (For Win, Right click on the image and saving it to disk. For Mac, click and hold down on the image, then save it to disk). Then open it in Adobe Photoshop.
  2. Or scan it directly into Adobe Photoshop .
  3. Or open it into Adobe Photoshop from a CD, Zip or Floppy disk.

At the menu bar click on Image > Image Size.

At "print size" be sure the width and height is set to inches and readust the size if need be.

Be sure the image is no larger than 8"X10".

 
 
   
In the Image Size dialog box, also change the resolution to 72 ppi.

Be sure the Constrain Proportions box is checked.

 

Go to File > Page Setup and set the orientation to "Portrait" or "Landscape" depending on if you image is vertical or horizontal.

Also choose the color printer. (HP 2500C Series Printer).

Place your color transparency (you can buy these at the bookstore) Note- make sure they are for color ink jet printers and not laserjet)
Place the frosty side of your transparency face up in the color printer. (Open up the top paper drawer and place it in there)
Choose "Transparency" as the Paper setting. Then choose File > Print and press OK.
