Over 10 years ago, Pierce College faculty went through a process to create our five student Core Abilities.

Two years ago, these Abilities went through a “Revisioning”. The definitions and outcomes were “reworked” and written into stronger Outcomes language. We also wrote Global Rubrics that looked at what the students would be doing to demonstrate these abilities. For the first time, we are talking about our Abilities in developmental levels.
