New databases

The library has added two new databases: World Conflicts Today, which explores major worldwide conflicts in places such as Iraq and Colombia, and CultureGrams, which presents cultural reports from more than 200 countries. You can access these by selecting the “Articles & Databases” link to your left.

APA Citation Changes

The 6th edition of the Manual of the American Psychological Association has unveiled some significant new changes for students who need to cite sources using APA style. Go to the “Citing Sources” link to download the library’s new APA Citations handout, or pick up a copy at the library.

The Salem Health database now features nearly 600 authoritative reference articles from its Psychology and Mental Health series! This valuable resource can be accessed by selecting “Articles and Databases” to your left and selecting the link for “Salem Health” under the Health & Medicine section.

PaperCut Password Change

Due to a change that requires passwords to include multiple characters, all PaperCut passwords will now start with PCD! The rest of the password will stay the same - the year, month and day of your birthday (e.g., 821117). Library faculty and staff are available to help you with the system.

Duplex Printing

The Puyallup library replaced its old printers with three new duplex printers! They are set up to print on both sides of a sheet to be more efficient and save resources. Students have the option of printing one-side only if they wish. Library staff is happy to help if you have any questions.

MLA citations update

The MLA citation style changed this past spring, and all citations now look different! Select the “Citing Sources” link to your left for handouts, examples of works cited pages and in-text citations, and sample papers.
