Did you know you could access segments from your favorite NPR programs like “All Things Considered,” “Morning Edition” and “Talk of the Nation?” The Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center database provides audio and transcripts from several NPR programs on a number of topics. Do a search on your topic and select the “Multimedia” tab to listen to a report.

You can watch two new PBS specials online: Frontline’s “Dreams of Obama” and NOVA’s “The Big Energy Gamble,” both of which originally aired on January 20th. Keep up-to-date with current events with both of these outstanding programs.

Salem Health has added Salem Health: Cancer to its database of authoritative reference articles. And, the Gale Virtual Reference Library has added the Encyclopedia of the Life Course and Human Development, providing reference articles on three key life stages: childhood and adolescence; adulthood; and later life. Select the databases link to your left to explore!

Ebrary has unveiled a new, improved interface! You no longer need to download a special reader to read a book online. The reader is required to print, copy, highlight, or add a book to your bookshelf; this reader is installed on all library computers.
