The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes and Why by Amanda Ripley (BF 698.35 . R57).
Mike Campbell, Director of the Center of Excellence Homeland Security, is a strong advocate of this book and believes it ought to be required reading. It is a quick, riveting read and even skimming it will convince you that safety drills can save your life.

We have a trial subscription to NewsBank, which provides access to articles in newspapers thoughout the country. This includes The Seattle Times, and is the only database that provides full-text articles. Select the “Articles & Databases” page to your left and click on the Trial Databases link at the bottom of the page to explore.

The Puyallup library will be open until midnight on Wednesday, March 11th, along with other campus services for Cram -n- Jam. The Fort Steilacoom library will be open until midnight on the following Monday, March 16th.
