Scheduling library instruction

To schedule library instruction, you can call or stop by the reference desk or contact an individual library faculty member below. Some helpful tips to consider before contacting us:

  • You must contact us at least one week in advance of the desired class date to ensure classroom and instructor availability, and to give library faculty time to prepare.
  • The library schedules as many as 100 classes each quarter, so please contact us before you add library instruction to your syllabus.
  • Plan to spend some time with us discussing your course and assignment goals.
  • Library instruction can be scheduled in the library classroom, computer labs, or classrooms.
  • When scheduling library instruction, bring a copy of the assignment plus outcomes for both the course and the assignment. Those outcomes will be the foundation for designing relevant library instruction.
