2010-11 Men's Basketball Team

Season Outlook

The Pierce College Raiders will again be hunting for a playoff spot in the always tough Western Division of the NWAACC.

The Raiders are led by returning sophomores Alix Hernandez, Brandon Thomas and Michael Stepovich, and will be supported by the strongest group freshmen new comers that Head Coach Bill Mendelson has put together in the past few years. Heading this group is 6'3 guard Cramer Doughty (Thomas Jefferson HS), 6'0 guard Sian Lain (Legacy HS, Las Vegas), and forwards Anthony Little (6'3 - Foss HS) and Dravon Poittlio (6'3 - Indiana River HS, Virginia).

Centers Derek Van Essen (6'4 - Curtis HS) DeAndre Winbush (6'6 - Bartlett HS, Alaska) will patrol the paint, guards Marquis Doss (5'10 - Curtis HS) and Taylor Rozumny (5'11 - Cascade Christian HS), and forward Danny Knox (6'4 - Curtis HS), fill out a very athletic squad for the 2010-2011 campaign.

This group is working hard in preparation for a run to the NWAACC Championships. Although not very big, the key to their success will be how quickly they blend their defensive quickness with sound offensive execution. It should make for an exciting year for Raiders Basketball!
