$thisCategory = "Men's Basketball" ?> Johnny Dukes, 6′7 wing player, Cory McJimson, 6′7 forward, and Mike Peterson, Jr., 6′4 guard have signed on to play basketball at Pierce College. All three men played basketball in California on their high school teams.
Dukes, a highly recruited prospect, brings size and scoring to the perimeter. A product of Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif., Dukes averaged 20 points per game and led his team deep into the state's high school playoffs. A teammate, top player and close friend, McJimson will add to the frontline with rebounding and scoring in the post.
Finally, athletic wing/guard Mike Peterson, Jr., from Lake Elsinore, Calif. will bring an exciting flavor to the backcourt. Peterson is switching to the point guard position after playing on the wing in high school. This group brings the Raiders up to 10 guys on the roster over 6′3.
"These three young men, along with the impressive roster already put together by second-year Head Coach Jeff N. Estis, makes Pierce a legitimate contender in the NWAACC this upcoming season, " said Duncan Stevenson, director of athletics.
Pierce Basketball will begin practice on Oct. 21. For ticket information, call Raider Athletics at (253) 964-6614.
