Pierce baseball sweeps Green River

Second baseman Randy Crain singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to complete the sweep of Green River College over the weekend. The Raiders defeated the Gators 4-3, 13-2, 4-3 in three games pushing their league record to 4-3 overall. Coach Brett Muche commented, "The guys are just doing the little things right — playing fundamentally strong baseball and concentrating on playing their game. Some major individual performances along with great defense, pitching and clutch hitting have proven that we can compete and win. This is the kind of team that strives to get better every game and right now they are just going out and playing ball. The next few weeks will be critical to the outcome of our season."
