Riding their best start in eight years, the undefeated Raiders earned a #7 ranking in the latest NWAACC Coaches poll. Boasting a 6-0 league record, the Raiders are tied for first place atop the Western Division with Green River Community College. The Raiders face the Gators this Wednesday at GRCC, with the winner staking claim to the 'Best in the West'. Second year head coach Paige Ellertson, who earned Co-Coach of the Year honors last season, has the Raiders playing outstanding volleyball. The Raiders have swept five of their first six matches, three games to none. The Raiders are well on their way to their second straight playoff appearance, and hope to win the West for the first time since the 2000 season.
The Men's Soccer team (3-4-1) just missed making the top 8 in their coaches poll, receiving the only votes for a non-ranked team. The Raider men also plan on a return trip to the post season this year.

The Raiders kept their undefeated season intact with three bigs wins, culminating with their three game sweep of Tacoma CC (30-27, 30-24, 30-24) on Wednesday. The Raiders were not at their best against the talented Titans, but played well enough to take the victory. The Raiders were led by Jazmin Silafau's 11 kills and Jessica Aldrich's 5 aces.
Last week, the Raiders took two very important matches. First, they traveled to Vancouver (WA) for an always tough match against Clark College. The road didn't hurt the Raiders as they swept the Penguins in three games (30-28, 30-18, 30-28). Silafau led the Raiders again in kills with 17, followed by Kanoe Kalalaus 12. The Raiders toughest match of their league schedule thus far came against Lower Columbia College. The Red Devils took the Raiders to five games, but Pierce came out on top once again (20-30, 30-26, 26-30, 30-22, 15-10).
The Raiders travel to Walla Walla this weekend for the NWAACC East Region Crossover. The Raiders close out the first half of their league schedule this Wednesday when they travel to Auburn for the battle of the undefeated against Green River CC.

The Raiders Mens Soccer came out with a win and loss at home this past weekend. The Raiders had a big night Friday against Everett, winning 4-0, and extending their current win streak to three games. Justin Morrow had 2 goals in the first half assisted by Sean Odell and JMaar Aina. The goals kept coming in the second half of play with goals from JMaar Aina and Chris Hanson assisted by Brandon Cummings and James Tunison. Raider Goalkeeper Brandon Repic recorded his first shutout of the season.
Despite a solid victory on Friday, the Raiders could not continue their success to Saturdays match, as they were unable come back from an early goal scored by Skagit Valley, eventually losing 1-0. "I think that overall we had a successful weekend. Some really good things came from it. This is a team with tremendous talent. I am disappointed that we did not win our second match and broke even, and I am sure the players feel the same." – Head Coach Dan Hicker
The results improves the Raiders league record to 3-4-1. The Raiders are on the road this weekend as they travel to Whatcom on Friday to take on the Orcas at 3pm and Edmonds on Saturday at 4pm.
