Head Coach Paige Ellertson has worked her magic and brought the Raiders to the playoffs for the second straight season. The Raiders will host a regional playoff game against Clark College on Friday, at 6:00 p.m. The winner advances to the NWAACC Tournament in Spokane next week, while the loser goes home for the winter. The two teams split their regular season matches, each winning on the opponents home court. The teams finished tied for 4th place in the Western Division with 8-6 records.
The Raiders seven player squad is led by sophomores Kanoe Kalalau, Robyn Barnard, and Colleen Pancake. Freshmen Jazmin Silafau, Kristi Alcorn, Jessica Aldrich, and Tiffany Sampson were all valuable contributors to the Raiders success this year. The high point of the Raiders season came with their #7 ranking in the mid-season NWAACC Coaches Poll, the teams highest ranking in 6 years.

The Raiders took the field against South Puget Sound in a loser-out regional playoff game on Monday evening, and had two opponents to overcome; the Clippers and the rain. Unfortunately, Pierce lost on both accounts. SPSCC came out on the winning end with a 2-1 victory. Despite the weather, it was a well played game by both teams, and the Raiders had numerous chances to put the game away, but just couldnt put the ball in the back of the net. The Clippers scored first in the 11th minute of the contest. The Raiders JMaar Aina tied things up a minute later when the Raiders were awarded a penalty kick. The score remained tied until the 70th minute when the Clippers scored on a quick transition play that sealed the contest. Pierce had several chances late in the game, but could not convert.
The Raiders finished their season with a 4-10-2 record, advancing to the post-season for the second consecutive season. Head Coach Dan Hicker, in his first full season leading the program, is proud of his teams accomplishments and is already looking forward to next season. "Our record does not reflect the development of this team or the competitive level of our play. We are a young team with a lot of talent. All of our opponents knew that they were in for a tough day when they stepped on the pitch to play the Raiders. The reputation of Pierce College Soccer is getting better every day."
