Olivas Named NWAACC Defensive Player of the Week

Freshman Defensive Specialist, Chelsea Olivas, was selected as the NWAACC Defensive Player of the Week for week #4 of the Fall 2009 volleyball season. Olivas, from Rogers High School in Puyallup, has been a solid anchor for the Raiders defense during their early run in the Western Division. Her stats for week #4 included, a 93% serve efficiency, 3.16 digs per set, and a serve/receive efficiency of 2.4. The Raiders are currently tied for first place in the Western Division, and will rely on the consistent play of Olivas to continue their success and a earn a return trip to the NWAACC Championships in November.
