Bill Pearson begins his fourth year as the head coach of the Raiders Men's Soccer program, headed into the Fall 2011 season. Pearson's Raiders have quailed for the NWAACC playoffs in each of the past two seasons, finishing in Third Place in the Southern Division both years, but not getting past the quarterfinal round of the playoffs each time.
Pearson has been coaching for over 17 years, spending much of his early coaching years with the South Hill Soccer Club, in Puyallup. He has a wealth of experience coaching boys and girls youth programs, and currently holds his USSF "B" National License. Prior to coming to Pierce, Pearson served as the coordinator and head coach of the girls 93 Umbrella program, which helped develop some of the top talent in the club soccer community in the South Puget Sound region.
"Bill has done a great job of assembling some of the best talent in the always tough Southern Division. He has built a very strong foundation for the program over the past three years, and is bringing the reputation of the program back the prominence it experienced in the '80's and '90's," said Duncan Stevenson, Athletic Director.
Pearson is a Puyallup native, and graduated from Rogers High School. He currently resides in Puyallup with his wife Tonya.
