Softball Coaches
Head Coach - Mark Edmonston

Mark Edmonston begins his first year as the Head Coach of the Raiders, following four successful seasons as the program's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Coach E has been instrumental in the Raiders recent rise to prominence in the NWAACC, capped by last season's Western Division title. He has done an outstanding job of helping to shape the philosophy of competitive excellence that now defines the Raiders Softball program. In addition to his duties at Pierce, Coach E has been very involved with coaching in the local club programs, most recently with the Washington Thunder.
Coach Edmonston is a graduate of Yakima Valley Community College, where he played on the football and golf teams. He is a detective with the Tacoma Police Department and currently resides in University Place.

Assistant Coach - Jerry Lerum

Jerry Lerum enters his second season on the Raiders staff and will spend this year working with the outfielders and coaching at first base. Prior to coming to Pierce, Lerum coached at Peninsula High School and with a few local select club programs. Coach Lerum is a graduate of Pierce College’s Criminal Justice program, and along with Coach Edmonston is a detective with the Tacoma Police Department.
Assistant Coach - Tiffany Qualls

Following two successful seasons as a member of the Raiders squad, Tiffany Qualls will serve as the team's hitting coach for the 2008 campaign. Qualls set the school record for highest career batting average, hitting a combined .441 over her two seasons, .517 her sophomore year. Coach Q was twice selected as a Western Region All-Star, and took part in the Sophomore All-Star Showcase. Coach Qualls is currently attending classes at University of Washington – Tacoma.
