Season Outlook
Third year head coach Doug Carlson has a clear vision for the 2012 season -- a return to the NWAACC Championships! Carlson, whose 2011 all-freshmen squad missed the playoffs by one match in the final standings, returns a roster full of sophomore veterans determined to re-start enters his second season as the Raider Volleyball Head Coach. The team is composed of 13 freshmen. Natimia Barker-Doss is a strong outside hitter from Wilson H.S. in Tacoma. Alaurra Boring is a terrific backrow specialist from Wilson H.S. in Tacoma. English Bryant is a very good setter from Spanaway Lake H.S. Richelle Carel is a great right side hitter from Enumclaw H.S. Jennie Demick brings hustle as a backrow specialist from Bonney Lake H.S. Annie Ferris is a wonderful middle hitter from perennial state contender Graham-Kapowsin H.S. Sarah Fonoimoana is a great setter/hitter from Foss H.S. in Tacoma. Devyn Odom is a solid backrow specialist from Wilson H.S. in Tacoma. Brooke Robinson is a strong outside hitter from Sierra Vista H.S. in Las Vegas. Mahalia Robinson is a terrific outside hitter from Spanaway Lake H.S. Dori Smith is a great middle hitter from Peninsula H.S. in Gig Harbor. Hannah Steidle is a terrific middle hitter from Tacoma Baptist H.S. Courtney Stettler is a wonderful combination of middle hitter and backrow specialist, and hails from Northern California. This team, although young, has a lot of potential, and will challenge for the Western Division Crown and NWAACC Championship.
