Looking at where some of you started this quarter and where you ended up has given me goose bumps...yes...even good goose bumps! I've seen a lot of growth along with new and renewed passions for photography from many of you. It has been a pleasure sharing photography with you in class this quarter and I wish you well...and don't forget...what's my mantra?.....have your camera with you always!!!!!

Here's your final web portfolio.

Good job with the photo exhibit images. I was pleased to see the quality AND quantity! There was a maximum of 120 points possible. Images getting 90 points or higher were accepted for showing. Click here for the results.

This message was sent to me by one of my previous students. A reminder to always have a camera with you.

"I had the best seat in the house for the Mt. St. Helens "eruption" on Friday. I wanted to share these pictures with you. We were a couple thousand feet above it when it decided to blow. Perfect timing for us. I am glad I never leave home without my camera....."

This class is a creative, informative adventure in photography. The emphasis is on making quality digital images that communicate and/or provoke feelings, as well as learning about the tools needed to create them.

For the duration of the quarter you will be asked to bring a camera to class everyday. You never know when we might sneak out for an impromptu field trip, plus having a camera with you increases your chances of capturing those unforseen photographic moments that may arise at any time.

It is my hope that if nothing else you will begin "seeing" things differently and have an enlightened visual appreciation for your surroundings after you complete this course.
