Meet Corrina Wycoff
Until scientists find the elusive Good Writing Gene, Pierce College professor Corrina Wycoff will continue chipping away at the mystique writing has in the minds of students.
"People can be afraid of writing. They think they're either gifted or not," Wycoff explained. "A lot of what I do is demystifying it, convincing students that writing is less a magical talent than strategic skills and choices."
At Pierce College, where relevant learning and student excellence are official priorities, Wycoff channels her considerable energy and enthusiasm for teaching to empower her students.
"One thing I love about teaching at Pierce is that faculty is so committed and fantastic," she said. "We care about students. That's such a great place to find yourself."
