Ethics in the Workplace

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This workshop is designed to give practical, hands-on techniques for promoting ethical behavior in the workplace.  Employees will learn the importance of being ethical and will learn how to think about and resolve ethical issues that arise at work. 

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Determine what motivates your own personal ethics
Put your own ethics and professional ethics to work at work
Use positive ethical groupthink to create an ethical climate
Apply a ten-step method to resolve any ethical dilemma

CONTENT SAMPLE:

Compare and contrast your motivation to what motivates others in order to create understanding between coworkers through completion of a mini-survey and class discussion

Discuss examples of great leaders in the business world and how they attribute their ethical and economic success to their ability to balance what they expected of themselves personally and what the company expected of them as ethical leaders.

Identify ways to create a balance between your own personal ethics and the ethical expectations of your company
 
Create and maintain an ethical workforce through ethical groupthink methods

Analyze and resolve an ethical problem while incorporating your own persona and professional ethics

AUDIENCE:

Course is appropriate for front-line staff, supervisors and managers.
