Oil, Watercolor and Acrylic Painting
Chris Cozine began painting at age four. While her father did not appreciate her murals on the side of the garage and on her bedroom walls, her mother knew she inherited the desire to create thru her side of the family and made sure she had plenty of supplies to express herself on paper.
Chris studied art in college as well as studied privately with local well known artists and instructors. She was privileged to study with award winning professional impressionist, Richmond Stuart who taught at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. She has been painting on other people's walls for over 15 years creating tromp l'oeil murals, boarders, faux finishes, and painting special accents for homes and public spaces.
Chris has won several awards in New Mexico for watercolor, 1st place in a juried exhibit at the Bronze works Gallery in a show in honor of the tall ships festival, and has won an award at The Puyallup Fair. She has even sold some of her children's designs to a puzzle company for publication.
"My philosophy is to take the time to capture on canvas something special that we so often pass by, and to have fun! I look forward to seeing you in class." Chris Cozine
