Sarah Barratt Markovits, The Art of Singing I & II
Sarah Barratt Markovits will be joining the Continuing Education team in Winter Quarter 2009. She'll be introducing her new "The Art of Singing" class designed for the non-music major who wants to improve their tone, clarity and breathing for individual or group vocal performance.
Sarah, a soprano, holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from UW and a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. In 1997, she was awarded a Youth Prize at the Metropolitan Opera District Auditions in Milwaukee. Ms. Markovits currently teaches privately and is a member of and soloist with Choral Arts, an internationally recognized professional chamber choir.
