Starting in 2014 Applicants to our nursing programs (traditional ADN and LPN/Bridge) will be required to take an entrance exam. We will be administering the KAPLAN Entrance Exam (Not a TEAS test). There will be a $15 charge for taking the exam - payable at the college testing center. Implementation and instructions are not yet finalized. This process will be completed soon – and the details will be posted on our website.
Age out for required and extra point classes is now 7 years from the date of application.
Each required prerequisite class must be successfully passed with a 3.0 or higher within two attempts of taking the course. These attempts now include all withdrawals in addition to all grades below 3.0. Unsuccessful attempts that are more than 7 years old from the date of application will not be counted.
Although it is not required, we strongly recommend the completion of an NAC (Nursing Assistant Certified) course with an active license – however, NO extra points will be awarded.
