Whether your passions are best fulfilled onstage, backstage, or behind a camera, Pierce College's Speech, Theatre, and Digital Film program can help you discover and expand your artistic visions. Pierce College provides a number of ways students can explore their creativity while gaining valuable, real world skills in traditional theatre and digital media. Classes are available in digital moviemaking, acting for stage and digital film, and film production.
In addition, Pierce College Theatre, using a cast and crew of students and community members, produces several live plays each year. The plays are artistically challenging for both actors and technicians, and are designed to give a broad sampling of skills and experiences. Auditions are open to anyone. Check the Pierce College Theatre program's Web site at www.pierce.ctc.edu/dept/drama for a list of upcoming productions and further details on how to get involved.
