Skagit Valley College is home to the Northwest Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing and Technology. The Center supports a regional alliance comprised of business, industry, and workforce development and education representatives. The Center serves as a hub for innovation, resources, and training and education services. The Center helps illuminate and share best practices related to industry trends and emerging technologies to foster economic vitality. The Center, in collaboration with its partners, is committed to building a world-renowned marine industry through training opportunities that develop skilled workers, focused leadership, effective communication among all partners, and continually improving processes and practices through innovation and cooperation.
