Skill PanelDownload the 'Skills Panel Formation for Homeland Security' Final Report (doc.) The Homeland Security Skill Panel will look strategically at the critical need for trained
professionals in both the public and private sectors. Partners include Pierce College, which will build on its Homeland Security Center of Excellence
to partner with the State's Emergency Management Division. An industry Skill Panel harnesses the expertise of leaders in business, labor,
education, and economic development to identify workforce development strategies in a key industry. Skill panels foster innovation and enable industry leaders and public partners to be
proactive - addressing changing needs for businesses quickly and competently. A panel produces tools,
products, and recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of an industry's workforce. Homeland Security private sector employment opportunities are developing rapidly with the need for assessment of emerging skill sets both for incumbent workers and for new workers. |
