Counseling - Making Appointments

Puyallup Campus
To schedule an appointment with the Faculty Counselor at Puyallup, you can do one of the following:

  • Call the Faculty Counselor directly at 253-840-8443 or email Elizabeth Scott at escott@pierce.ctc.edu
  • Call the Student Success Center at 253-840-8431
  • Stop by the Student Success Center (A106) to schedule an appointment with the Faculty Counselor

What to expect?

Fort Steilacoom Campus
To schedule an appointment with the Faculty Counselor at Fort Steilacoom, a student can do one of the following:

  • Walk-in: Welcome Center- Cascade Building

The Counselor or the Welcome Center Assistant will try to schedule a convenient time for you to meet. Office hours are usually from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including the noon hour. Occasionally a student cannot make these hours, in which case, the Counselor and student can arrange for a time that fits with the student’s schedule. Appointments usually last 50 minutes and are free to enrolled students of Pierce College.

Typically, students wanting to utilize counseling services will be asked to complete some counseling paperwork, which can be done at the initial meeting or can be downloaded in advance. The paperwork takes approximately 15 minutes and students are encouraged to arrive early so as not to take time from the scheduled appointment. Or, if the student downloads the forms in advance, he/she can complete them prior to scheduled appointment.
