Rondale West, MS, LMHC
Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling
Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State

My name is Rondale West and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State. I began my counseling career working in a community mental health agency with a diverse population of children and adults struggling with a wide variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. More recently I worked with students as a counselor at another community college.

My counseling approach is eclectic, which means that I use methods from a variety of approaches depending on the person’s needs and goals. Person centered, cognitive-behavioral and psychoeducational methods are often used, along with other techniques as appropriate. As a counselor it’s important to me to incorporate a person’s strengths and personalized goals in counseling. My main goal as a counselor here at Pierce College is to support student success by helping students cope with life's difficulties and learn the necessary skills to help them pursue their educational and career goals.
