ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE LEARNING CLUB – PUYALLUP CAMPUS

The Environmental Service Learning Club is an opportunity for Pierce College students to participate and organize local volunteer activities. Service Learning is a method of teaching and learning that connects classroom lessons with meaningful service to the community. As such members will focus volunteer work on environmental issues while relating each project to different types of curriculum when possible. For members' benefit, the Environmental Service Learning Club will also keep track of hours for students to earn honor cords, awards, etc. for graduation. Not only will this club be a great way to get out in the community and connect with organizations, it will be an opportunity to complete service hours to benefit your resume. Please join us in creating this club and making it a sustainable option in the college for students to volunteer!
