Tutoring - Student Tutors

Compassionate, skilled tutors are always needed at both the Puyallup and Fort Steilacoom campuses. Tutoring other students is a great way to earn extra income while sharing knowledge with, and providing academic support to, peers, and building a tutor's own knowledge of a subject area.

Students interested in working as tutors must:

  • Be currently enrolled students at Pierce College.
  • Have a minimum 3.5 grade point average (GPA) in the tutored subject.
  • Have a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
  • Provide a recommendation from an instructor.
  • Attend a tutoring orientation.

(Note: Tutors for the Writers' Studio at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom are hired separately and must have a bachelor's degree or higher.)
