Introduction to Distance Learning
Distance Learning brings the classroom to you!
Distance Learning connects people via technology for convenient, flexible teaching and learning. We bring the classroom to you, providing courses that transfer and appear on your transcript just like campus based courses.
Is Distance Learning right for you?
Taking charge of your own learning “at a distance” is exciting and rewarding. Unlike the typical classroom, there are no instructors at the front of the room and no regular class meetings to motivate you. Students must be self-starters.
Students must also be very organized, willing to seek answers, and able to work independently. Finally, distance learners must like to read, be able to do research and posess above average technology skills (keyboarding, computers, e-mail, Web browsing, VCR/TV).
Finding that you can overcome these challenges and take responsibility for your education gives you the freedom and power to learn and grow for a lifetime!
