FAQ's

If I miss a class, can I get the notes from the SI leader?

No, the SI leader can not provide you with notes, but you could borrow notes from a classmate. You should also check with your course instructor regarding the material you missed.

Since you are covering the material from class can I just come to SI and skip class?

No, SI does not replace attending class, reading your textbook or doing your homework.

How do I know when and where the SI sessions are?

Beginning the second week of classes the SI leader will announce where and when the SI sessions are held. They will even provide you with a handy little bookmark with session times and rooms. Students can also check this website, the SI office in Puyallup in L207 and in Fort Steilacoom C346.

I already have enough to do, why should I go to SI?

SI is worth the time and effort, since participation increases your understanding of the course content and your chances of getting a better grade in the course. It has been proven that studying for an hour in a facilitated group study session, is the same as studying for 2 ½ hours by yourself. You do the math 1 hour with an SI group, or 2 ½ hours alone. Think of it this way: it's guaranteed quality study time.

Best of all, it's FREE!
