TRIO Student Support Services

The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom provides academic and personal support to 160 eligible students.

The program, aimed at increasing participants' college success and transfer to four-year colleges or universities, provides structured events and activities plus college level credit focused on developing study skills, identifying and maximizing learning styles, setting goals, and building personal resources for success. Comprehensive, early assessment and ongoing, interaction with advisors result in effective educational plans that incorporate participants' long-term goals. The program also offers educational and cultural activities, financial aid and career counseling, tutoring, and transfer assistance.
