TRIO Services: Why join TRIO? 

1.       Because it’s FREE! It is a federally-funded program and is free to eligible participants. (See TRIO Eligibility link.)

2.       To improve your Math Skills. We provide math refresher courses and Study 107, a math and science study skills class.

3.       To find out about scholarships and to get help applying for FREE money. As we receive information on     scholarships, we pass it on to you. Also, if you are receiving the Pell grant you may qualify for TRIO grant aid, which means more FREE money!!! We help you apply for scholarships and financial aid.

4.       To get help in choosing a transfer college. We do campus visits to local four-year colleges, to include Pacific Lutheran College, University of Washington, and The Evergreen State College. Our TRIO advisors help assist you with the process of applying for four-year colleges.

5.       To improve college study skills. We offer a FREE, 5-credit Education 111 class which helps students learn test-taking, note-taking, and time and money management skills. You’ll also learn how to choose a major. An added bonus is that you’ll get to meet fellow TRIO students for additional support and guidance.

6.       To get additional assistance in choosing classes. We offer one-on-one advising to help you come up with an educational plan that fits your individual needs.
