We know that everyone needs a helping hand sometimes. Single parents, unemployed workers, displaced homemakers, students new to or returning to higher education�everyone needs a helping hand sometimes.

At the Women & Family Services Office at Fort Steilacoom, and through the Advising Center at Puyallup, you�ll find caring people who offer a wealth of information, resources, referrals, workshops, libraries, support groups, individualized support & coaching, mentoring and more.

We are among several departments within the Pierce College district that offers support and assistance to students.

We are here to provide students and the community with resources and support to learn and prepare for success in education, training, and employment.

We strive to provide resources, support, and programs that enhance students' access to and success in educational and training opportunities and promote students' personal development and progress towards self–sufficiency. Valuable assistance is provided to all students with a special emphasis on serving special populations throughout the Pierce College District.
