How long does the training last?
Each session is 10 weeks.
How much does it cost?
The entire program is offered at a fraction of the cost of comparable programs. Total cost is $185. That fee includes recording, tracking and mailing of certificates for Continuing Education Units for professional education/development (one price regardless of interest in CEUs).
How many training hours does this course offer?
Each online workshop provides 20 hours of course experience, which can be documented by a downloadable certificate of completion. Additional documentation for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professional education/development will be sent to the student upon successful completion of the workshop. How do I register?
Registration is done through the Pierce College Continuing Education online registration system using a secure site.
Do I have to be logged in at a specific time each day?
No. The workshops are designed to meet the needs of busy adults and working professionals. You can log in whenever it is convenient for your schedule. You should plan to login five of seven days each week to complete the weekly work.
Can I complete the workshop in fewer than 10 weeks?
No. Because student discussion and interaction are critical to the workshops, it's important that all students are on the same schedule and that they communicate while completing the weekly workshop activities.
What if my username/password don't work?
If you're new to Angel and have followed the login protocol, but are still having trouble logging into the Angel system, call (253) 964-6244. If you are returning student, try the “I forgot my password” link below the logon prompts (need to know the e-mail address used with your account).
I registered, but, when I log in, I don't see any classes. What's wrong?
Most likely, nothing is wrong. Online classrooms open a week prior to the start date for the class. This allows you time to explore navigating the online classroom and familiarize yourself with course expectations. However, the actual class will not start until the official start date. See the PCOL “Key Dates” for the term.
What is required of me to complete the workshop?
You are expected to complete all of your assignments and contribute to the online discussion board. Check the workshop syllabus in the online classroom for specific details.
Your certificate of completion for the 20 hour workshop will be generated after you have completed all workshop requirements and the workshop evaluation. You will be notified by your instructor when and where your certificate is available. CEU Certificates will be mailed to the home address entered when registering for the workshop.
