How to change your financial aid status

Important: enrollment changes cannot be made after we have printed your financial aid check.

Changes in enrollment status impact the amount of financial aid that you receive at Pierce College. Financial aid awards are based on full-time status (12 or more credits per quarter) unless you submit an Award Status Revision form.

If you plan to enroll for three-quarter-time (9-11 credits), half-time (6-8 credits) or less than half-time (1-5 credits), you must notify the Financial Aid Office at least ten business days prior to the start of the quarter.

You cannot receive a State Need Grant or a Stafford Loan unless you are enrolled for six credits or more, even if you are otherwise qualified.

Students not planning on attending an academic quarter should notify the Financial Aid Office. If you have enrolled and will not attend, you must complete and submit an official withdrawal form to Registration prior to the first day of the quarter or you are subject to suspension from financial aid.

Please download the Award Status Revision form (PDF format) or pick up a copy at either college and complete the required items to notify us of changes in your status.
