Pierce Pledge Funding


What is the Pierce Pledge Funding Program?


The Pierce Pledge Funding program uses a combination of state, federal and institutional grants to ensure that low and middle income students enrolled at Pierce College as full–time students have sufficient funds to cover the $1,300 standard cost of quarterly tuition and books.

Pierce Pledge Funding Eligibility Requirements:

  • Students must be Washington residents.
  • Students must complete the Pierce College financial aid application process.
  • Students must apply for admission to Pierce College.
  • Students must enroll for 12 credits or more.
  • Parents of a dependent student or independent students must meet the income cutoffs (see chart).
  • Students must comply with the Pierce College Financial Aid Academic Progress Requirements.

How do I apply for Pierce Pledge Funding?

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and any additional documents requested by the financial aid office.

The financial aid office will determine your eligibility and award the Gold funding package to those students who qualify.

If you have eligibility for additional funding for living costs, the financial aid office will included those funds in your award letter.

Apply early for Pierce Pledge Program Funding

Our grant funds are limited so please apply early. We review and award students based on the completion date of their application.
