GED Preparation Through Pierce College
GED preparation classes and pre-testing are offered through Pierce College. These classes are offered on an ongoing basis at several locations in Pierce County; see the course bulletin for times and locations. For more information, call (253) 964-6657 (Lakewood) or (253) 840-8463 (Puyallup).
Important forms
These forms should be downloaded and printed.
- Approval to test(PDF): used by GED examinees under the age of 19. Take to the school district in which the examinee resides; school officials must complete and sign this form.
- Request for GED certificate/transcript (PDF)
- Notarized statement/letter for home-school students (PDF): give to the GED examiner for proof of eligibility to test.
- Information release (PDF): for the examinee to designate another person(s) who can have access to GED records.

- GED online is a continuing adult education website dedicated to helping you prepare online for the GED High School Equivalency Diploma Test.
- Steck-vaughn is an online vendor of study guides for the GED test.

The Robert Byrd Scholarship can provide help with college for those scoring over 3200 on the GED.
