Coming to Pierce from another college? Restarting your education? Find out about credit evaluation.
If you plan to take English or math classes, or any class with an English or math prerequisite, you will need to demonstrate that you have met the prerequisites.
If you have not completed the prerequisites at another accredited college or university, an assessment test is required. You cannot "pass" or "fail" the test; it is simply a tool to assist you.
You will take either the ASSET test or the COMPASS test; these tests evaluate your skills in English, reading, and math. Learn more about the ASSET test and the COMPASS test at the ACT Web site.
Assessment testing is offered at Puyallup by appointment. Assessment testing is available at Fort Steilacoom on a walk-in basis. Please see the links below for scheduled hours.
