Students can earn a two-year associate's degree at Pierce College before transferring to a university for another two years of study for a bachelor's degree.
(Note: To enroll in classes in the University Transfer Program, students must demonstrate proof of English proficiency. Students whose English is not yet at college level are advised to begin in the Intensive English Program.)
At Pierce College, you can complete the first two years of study toward a bachelor's degree in the following academic majors:
Pierce has articulation agreements with colleges and universities across Washington state, including the University of Washington and Washington State University. Under these agreements, courses you take at Pierce are equivalent to the first two years of study at the four-year colleges and universities. In other words, Pierce students can transfer their credits and enter a bachelor's degree program as third-year students.
In addition, Pierce College has developed conditional admission agreements with partner universities. These allow our international students to immediately enter universities as third-year students once they complete their associate's degree at Pierce College.
Recent Pierce College graduates have transferred to institutions in many states, including: Academy of Art, California; Carnegie Mellon, Pennsylvania; Columbia, Cornell, and New York (NYU) universities, State University of New York, and Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York; George Washington University, Washington D.C.; Purdue University, Indiana; Rutgers University, New Jersey; Universities of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) and Los Angeles (UCLA); University of Oregon; University of Washington; Washington State University; and many other excellent universities.
